Riyadh Launches Creative District in KAFD to Become Global Innovation Hub

Riyadh has launched the first phase of its Riyadh Creative District (RCD) within the King Abdullah Financial District, following a landmark lease agreement between KAFD DMC and the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC). The initiative aims to establish a dedicated hub for media, culture, and creative technology, uniting local and international talent to transform the capital into a global center for innovation, in line with Vision 2030.

Leaders from both organizations emphasized a shared vision of building Riyadh into a world-leading destination for creativity. By bringing together creative thinkers, business leaders, and cultural institutions in a single destination, the RCD is designed to open doors for emerging Saudi talent while attracting global partners to advance the Kingdom’s cultural and economic goals.

The project is already attracting prestigious international institutions, underscored by the recent inauguration of a Riyadh campus for the renowned Italian fashion school, Instituto Marangoni. This milestone signals strong global interest and highlights the immense opportunities for international companies specializing in media, design, fashion, and creative technology. The creation of a dedicated district provides a physical epicenter for the Kingdom’s burgeoning creative economy, offering a supportive ecosystem for foreign businesses.

Saudi Arabia is building ecosystems, not just projects. For creative and technology firms, the RCD offers a unique opportunity to be at the center of this new hub. Haris Consultancy connects international companies with these strategic opportunities, helping them find their place in Riyadh’s new creative heart. Contact us to discuss your entry strategy.
